Lilongwe is the capital city of Malawi. It is in the middle of the country. It is a 1.5 hour drive to either Lake Malawi or Zambia. The city is growing rapidly and was at one time the fastest growing city in the world.

Building Futures in Malawi work in the most deprived areas of the city. These Google images are out of date. Each of the schools and libraries are now completely surrounded by houses. There is increasing demand for the schools and the libraries are busy all day, all year round.
