Below is a list of the number of options of Lilongwe Accommodation that could house you whilst you volunteer at one of the Building Futures in Malawi projects. The list of Lilongwe Accommodation should offer something for all budgets and keep you in the degree of comfort you are accustomed to.
Malawi Lodge is built specifically for Building Malawi volunteers. It is right over the road from Lingadzi Academy and you get the most for your money staying at Malawi Lodge. There are four rooms each with en-suite shower and toilet rooms as well as a large communal living room and kitchen. There is also a stunning roof terrace with views over Lingadzi Academy and the city of Lilongwe. It also boasts beautiful scenic gardens which are a wonderful place to unwind after a hectic day volunteering as a coach, construction worker or teacher over the road.
Whilst it feels like you are in the heart of a bustling Malawian township you are only a 20 minute walk to the new Mall built nearby.
Right in the centre of Lilongwe the Kiboko hotel offers nice comfortable rooms with excellent facilities. The Kiboko Hotel has a stunning balcony that overlooks the hustle and bustle of the carving market at the Post Office right in the heart of the city. It's a perfect place to chill out and have a cool drink. It's more expensive than Mabuya Camp and Malawi Lodge but far cheaper and better quality than the more prestigious hotels in Lilongwe.
Mabuya Camp is a favourite of Backpackers and is a great place to socialise. Many overland buses and campers stop off here as they travel through to the Lake. Mabuya Camp is the place to be for the full backpacker experience and has a vibrant atmosphere. Mabuya Camp is very close to the town centre.
